About the Raid
The 3-Day Essaouira Raid offers a complete immersion between desert, mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. From our base in Lalla Takerkoust, you cross the Agafay Desert, the Turtle Valley and the agricultural lands of Mejjat before gradually reaching the coast and its vast wild beaches.
Behind the wheel of your buggy, you alternate between desert trails, mountain sections, sandy areas and rides along the coastline. The route moves between inland landscapes and the Atlantic coast, offering constantly changing scenery and a real diversity of terrain.
Between an overnight stay in Ounara, seaside stops in Sidi Kaouki, and the dunes and beaches around Essaouira, this raid combines technical riding, wide open landscapes and a gradual immersion toward the ocean.
A complete three-day adventure designed for those seeking driving thrills, varied terrain and the discovery of contrasting landscapes.
Day 1 – Lalla Takerkoust → Ounara
Transfer is organized from Marrakech Airport or your hotel to our base in Lalla Takerkoust.
After the departure briefing and getting familiar with the machines, you begin the raid towards the Agafay Desert.
The route crosses the Turtle Valley before reaching Mejjat, alternating between agricultural areas and desert landscapes. The terrain gradually evolves as you follow mountain trails along the way.
Lunch along the way.
Continuation westward towards Ounara.
Check-in and overnight stay at the Tassourt Lodge guesthouse.
Day 2 – Ounara → Sidi Kaouki
Departure towards the beach of Sidi Kaouki.
You head south, riding along the beach and on trails running along the coastline.
Stop by the small waterfalls, then head to Iftane Beach for lunch on the sand: grilled fish from the day’s catch.
Ride resumes towards Sidi Kaouki.
Overnight stay by the sea.
Day 3 – Sidi Kaouki → Essaouira → Sidi Kaouki
For this final day, you ride through the large sand dunes and along sandy trails.
Lunch break on Essaouira beach.
The route then continues between dunes and beach towards Sidi Kaouki.
End of the circuit, followed by the return transfer to Marrakech by car or minibus.
